Discord4 is the latest version of our most popular and long-lived product, our Discord stereo pitch shifter. Originally modeled from the H910, Discord has long since become its own effect and a studio standby, and this version includes major additions to further stretch its capabilities. This application includes a stand-alone version (with Inter-App Audio) and an AUv3 effect for use in hosts that support that format, such as Beatmaker 3, AUM, Cubasis, and Garageband. Discord4 consists of three separate algorithms: a “vintage” mode (the original Discord algorithm, modeled on the Eventide H910 and H949), a “clean” mode for more modern shifting sounds, and a “granular” mode for experimental effects. Each mode has its strengths, depending on the input material, and Discord3 has a broad palette of capabilities as a result. The P1 and P2 algorithms have full control over the buffer (window) size of the shift effect, for fine tuning the shift to the input signal, or for stranger sound effects. At the extremes of the six-octave shift range, some truly strange aliasing and artifacts can be had with this control.

Discord4 retains its pair of tempo-synced delays and bandpass filters from previous versions, and adds a reverb in the feedback loop (for easy access to “shimmer” effects). We have also replaced the modulation sources from the original with our all-new FLFO (Flexible LFO) design. Panorama controls are included to control the stereo width of the wet signal. Finally, soft saturation and limiting have been added or improved throughout the signal path, for an overall improved sound and added vintage-style warmth, and to allow for extreme feedback experiments without fear of overloading your DAW’s channel.

• Pitch Shifting: Discord4 contains a pair of shifters with three separate algorithms (Vintage, Clean, and Granular) for different styles of pitch shifting.

• Buffer Size Control: The P1 (Vintage) and P2 (Clean) algorithms have a Buffer Size control, from 32 to 2048 samples, for fine-tuning the pitch shifting effect.

• Delay: Tempo-synced or free-running delays with feedback, cross-feedback, and a sophisticated bandpass filter.

• Reverb: A simple stereo reverb is added to the feedback path, for “shimmer” effects and further sound exploration.

• Modulation: Two of our new FLFO (Flexible Low-Frequency Oscillator) with tempo sync and an arbitrary waveform, capable of a nearly infinite number of modulation shapes using only three controls.

• True Stereo Operation: Discord4 has a true stereo signal path, with entirely independent control over each side, finishing with panorama settings for stereo width.

• MIDI Note Control: Six octaves of pitch-shifting can be controlled with MIDI note input.

• All-New GUI: Vector-based resizable user interface.

• Presets: Cross-platform XML-based preset manager.

A long-time studio standard, now finally available for iOS! This is a direct 1:1 port of Audio Damage’s Eos 2 desktop plug-in, identical in every way to the Eos you know and love. This download includes an AUv3 App Extension for use in AUv3-savvy hosts like AUM, AudioBus, GarageBand, Cubasis, and Auria Pro. Also included is a stand-alone application with Inter-App Audio.

Eos 2 consists of four high-quality custom-designed reverb algorithms, made with the modern production environment in mind. Three different plate simulators and our own Superhall algorithm give you a broad palette of reverb, and the easy-to-understand interface makes adjusting the algorithms to suit your track incredibly simple.

Want a traditional dark plate reverb? Eos 2 can do that. How about a short, dense room sound for your drum buss? Not a problem. But where Eos 2 really comes in to its own is when you drop Superhall on your piano or synthesizer tracks. The incredibly long modulated hall sounds of Eno-style ambience are where Eos 2 thrives, something that is not possible with convolution ‘verbs.

All effect modules can be used together chained in any order you like.

The Chorus effect is a modulation effect used used to create a richer, thicker sound and add subtle movement. The effect roughly simulates the slight variations in pitch and timing that occur when multiple performers sing or play the same part.

The Delay effect provides you with two different types of delay effects using two delay lines. With Sync mode the delay times can be set by note lengths and are then relative to the currently set tempo. The delayed signal can be feed back to the input for echo effects. You can select between a stereo delay and a ping-pong delay where the echoes bounces across the stereo field.

The Drive effect provides you with different types of distortion from hard clipping to soft distortion simulating analog tube amplifiers and tape machines. The sound balance can be adjusted using a combined High/Lowpass filter.
The distortion algorithm uses oversampling to reduce aliasing artefacts.

The ParaEQ effect is a parametric equalizer with optional graphic editing of Lowpass/Highpass and Bandpass equalizer stage.

The Flanger is composed of two independent delay lines with feedback for the left and the right channel respectively.
The delay time of both delays is modulated by one LFO with adjustable frequency.
For typical flanging effects the delay time should be below 5 milliseconds.

The Phaser is built from an 8-pole allpass filter, which gives you a very short and frequency dependent
delay time. This delay time is modulated by an LFO.

The Reverb effect is used to simulate the sound reflections off walls in different kind of rooms. This reflections
disperse the sound, enriching it by overlapping the sound with its reflection.
This reverb parameter are accessible by the user:
• Tail delay – Sets the amount of time that elapses between the direct sound and the reverberation tail. This time correlates
with the perceived size of the simulated room. The adjustable range is from 0 ms to 300 ms.
• Reverb time – The time the reverb takes to die away by 60dB after the end of the initial sound. This parameter correlates
with the perceived size of the simulated room. The adjustable range is from 50 ms to 100 seconds.
• Room size – The room size parameter sets the average distance between the reflecting walls.
• Diffusion – The Diffusion parameter controls the echo density of the resulting reverberant sound. A higher value
corresponds to a higher echo density which is in most cases more natural sounding.
• Absorption – The Absorption parameter simulates the surface and air absorption of high frequencies. Due to absorption the reverberation time is shorter for high frequencies than for low frequencies. With higher absorption high frequencies will decay much faster.
• Tail stereo – Adjusts the stereo image width of the reverberation tail.
• Tail cutoff / tone – Lowpass and Highpass filter for the reverb tail.
