Download Loops To An iPad

The following tutorial shows you how to download loops to an iPad from website that sells or distributes loops in zip format. The AudioShare app makes it quite easy to do. Once downloaded you can unpack the zip and import the loops into your DAW or app of choice.

AudioShare is the only sound file manager with powerful import and export abilities. If you are using music-making apps, then this tool is a must-have!

Organize all your soundfiles and midifiles on your device. Record, trim, convert, normalize, upload, download, export, import, zip, unzip. Create folders, rename and move files and folders around, put everything where you can find it.

Built-in Inter-App Audio host with 4 node slots. Record Inter-App Audio compatible instruments and effects, or process files through the chain! AudioShare is also itself a node that can be used in other hosts like Garageband or Auria.

Use it to transfer files between apps and between your device and computer. For example, import a soundfile from your dropbox or music library, and share it on SoundCloud. Or audiocopy sounds from your favorite music-making app and import into the AudioShare library for later sharing or copying into other apps. Or record your live-jam from other Audiobus-apps.

You can record directly in the app, from hardware, Inter-App Audio, or other Audiobus compatible apps. Preview and play soundfiles with waveform display and looping, trim and normalize soundfiles, and convert to other file formats. Download Loops To An iPad

LoopJ Free Dj Loop App For iPad

LoopJ is the heart of mobile music innovation, first presented in January 2011 in Cannes at MIDEMNet Lab. Powered by cutting edge technology, it is basically the first truly INTERACTIVE DJ STATION in the world. Feed it with your own music and rule the universe!

This particular app is primarily aimed at MUSICIANS who will enjoy playing their music in a new interactive way, and this is why it is FREE for anyone. It was created as a showcase for Amidio’s .loopj interactive music standard, based on our research that nearly every existing dance music track can be split into 5 LAYERS that will always sound good together.

Even for NON-MUSICIANS, there are 5 great free bundled TRACKS in the app (created by an aspiring electronic musician Sentatic), so anyone can give LoopJ a try and feel the power of the interactive dance music right away.

NO BANNERS *** NO NAG SCREENS *** PURE INTERACTIVITY

Think of LoopJ as of a mini DJ-optimized version of Ableton with fixed layout, optimized for touch-screen performances, always ready when you’re on the go.

You don’t need a separate MIXER, since there are 2 .loopj decks always playing together at the same time, always TIME-STRETCHED to have the same BPM, so you’re always guaranteed a perfect mix. Loading new tracks is seamless and doesn’t interrupt the mix.

You can even spice the mix with LP/HP multitouch filters and 3 built-in FX – Rhythmic Delay, Gate Splitter, Glitch Repeater. You also have a Global HPF Filter which is basically a Fast-EQ.

Recording to .WAV/.M4A is available as a separate in-app purchase for a modest price.

To get your OWN MUSIC into LoopJ, all you have to do is to convert your tracks into the .loopj format, which is as easy as extracting different parts of your track into 20 fixed .wav loops, 4 loops per 5 layers: BEAT, BASS, LEAD, ATMO, REAT. Bundle it with a track image, description, pack it into a .zip file, then upload it freely into LoopJ and play it!

Please refer to the the built-in MANUAL for the complete description of the .loopj standard, the process of converting and uploading your tracks into LoopJ, and the functionality of the app.

THIS IS THE VERY FIRST PUBLIC VERSION OF LOOPJ. WE DELIBERATELY MADE IT FREE BECAUSE WE REALLY WANT THE MODERN MUSIC TO BECOME INTERACTIVE. LOOPJ IS THE STANDARD WE PROPOSE. YOUR GOOD REVIEWS WILL HELP US TO DEVELOP LOOPJ FURTHER AND TAKE IT TO UNBELIEVABLE HEIGHTS!

To-do (short-list):

– More FX
– Reworked “Load Tracks” screen
– Share .loopj tracks
– Split fader system

LoopJ is available for Free

Techno Synth For iPad

SoundThingie

SoundyThingie is a true Techno synth for creating minimal Techno loops on the iPad. It is an application that translates drawn lines into music. Additionally to just drawing lines it lets you modify them in a variety of ways, like moving them around or connecting them.

The application starts with an almost entirely black screen, waiting to be drawn onto by you. Each line created results in a sound that is related to the way the line was drawn.

There are only a few principles that make up that sound. Most important are:
– The vertical position of a line determines it’s pitch. Lines at the top of the screen sound high, lines at the bottom sound low.
– Drawing speed determines volume. The faster you draw, the louder a line will be.

Besides that there are many buttons to press and knobs to turn which influence the sounds. You can later change a line’s volume, attach other lines to it, choose from different waveforms.
You can also load and save your work, modify triggers and whatnot.

  • iPad Loops is an iOS music production blog dedicated to exposing the best iPad apps musicians, producers, and Djs. This is not a database of every app. It is, however, one of useful recommendations from someone with many years in music production. I try to update it on a daily basis (ok sometimes every two days) and I do my best to post useful apps only. My name is Jason Donnelly (Dj Puzzle). You might know me from my royalty free loop packs and sound design. Some of the apps that contain my sounds are Synth One, EG Segments, Hammerhead, Retronyms AudioCopy, Audio Evolution Mobile, LP-5, iPRO.DJSAMPLER, Looptastic. My work is published by Roland, Antares, Magix, Soundtrack Loops, Sample Logic, Acoustica, Loopmasters and many more. Subscribe to our RSS feed below to get updated when new apps are posted.
