GS-201 Tape Delay for iPad

GS-201 Tape Delay for iPad

Guido Scognamiglio (Genuine Soundware and Instruments) announces GS-201 for the iPad. The legendary Space Echo in your iPad.

Please note: this is an AUv3 plugin that can be used with compatible host Apps.

GS-201 Mark II is the evolution of a project that began in 2007 with the release of the old version of GS-201, which evolved into a mark II version in 2019 and has now landed on the iPad platform. The aim is to capture the magic of the famous Space Echo tape delay and make it available to everyone. It’s not an easy task, but the experience gained over the past 15 years in audio DSP development has helped us achieve a result that can sometimes fool even ourselves.

This iPad version of the GS-201 Mark II contains only the basic controls found on the original Space Echo, with no additional editing parameters. If you want to eliminate tape hiss, if the tape splice glitch is bothering you, if you don’t like wow and flutter, or need host tempo sync, you are definitely looking for a different plug-in. If, on the other hand, you want to relive the experience of dealing with an original Space Echo, with all its pros and cons, you are in the right place.

TimeReverb-X

TimeVerb-X is a new plugin from GSi that combines GSi’s “classic” Type4 spring reverb, first released in 2008, and a new algorithmic digital reverb. The “Type4” spring reverb emulation was originally inspired by an Accutronics reverb tank type 4, like those used in classic Hammond organs of the A100 series, also used in many famous electric guitar amplifiers. The digital reverb, instead, was first developed for the GSi Gemini sound module, but was also included in some Crumar hardware instruments. Both effects have been slightly expanded and further improved for the release of TimeVerb-X, as the spring reverb now features a self-oscillating feedback decay adjustment and a stereo width knob, and the digital reverb includes the early reflections section that was missing in the original project. Both reverbs put together make up a great sound when working in parallel, and create some interesting atmospheres when working in series.

– Digital reverb with pre-delay, early reflections and room size adjustment
– Built-in programmer with unlimited number of Programs (comes with 16 factory Programs)
– Integrated user’s manual
– Comes with AUv3 extension

Rainbow Delay is a polyphonic harmonizing delay

Rainbow Delay is a polyphonic harmonizing delay

Rainbow Delay is a polyphonic harmonizing delay effect unlike any that you’ve played before. Harmonize full chords with multiple different intervals at once to create colorful soundscapes you didn’t know your guitar could create. Program your MIDI controller to control your harmonies and delay in real time. Switch it into Mono mode for vocals and other monophonic instruments.

F e a t u r e s:

• Fully polyphonic harmonies – WORKS ON ALL CHORDS
• Separate harmonies for real time input and delays
• Delay with feedback, filter, time division and tempo sync
• Creates harmonies above and below the input signal – mix and match them to taste
• All parameters are MIDI programmable
• The stripe in the middle contains buttons that can switch modes, shift intervals and sync to the host tempo
• The colored knobs adjust the volume of the harmonies on the input and the delays
• The gray knobs adjust the delay parameters
• Shift intervals on the fly with automation or MIDI input for greater control over your harmonies
• Mono mode for vocals or monophonic instruments
• Bluetooth MIDI compatible
• iRig BlueBoard compatible
• AUv3

Classic tape echo machine

Classic tape echo machine

Authentic recreation of a classic tape echo machine. GSi VariSpeed is a simulation of the WEM Copicat IC-400 Belt Drive VariSpeed model, the first tape echo machine made by WEM with a DC capstan motor capable of changing speed, thus varying the delay time. GSi VariSpeed replicates the hardware instrument “as is” with all its pros and cons, without any additional feature. This can be considered as the second chapter of a tribute to the genius of Mr. Charlie Watkins that GSi began back in 2008 with the release of the freeware “WatKat”, which was a simulation of the “Custom Copicat”. Please note: this is an AUv3 plugin that can be used with compatible host Apps.

RRS HLF-3C

Free Passive Filter App Pultec HLF-3C For iOS

Red Rock Sound presents their anniversary plugin AD IT emulates a Pultec HLF-3C for iPhone and iPad.

For 10 years we have been delighting you with professional plugins at an affordable price. Thank you for support!

The HLF-3C completes the Passive EQ Collection. This plug-in has 12 dB per octave low and high cut filters, providing broad retro-tonal sculpting or bygone-era special effects, without the inconvenience of insertion loss found with the unamplified passive hardware.

You can easily subtract the unnecessary frequencies in any instrument and sub-group so they stay wonderfully musical in the mix.

The original HLF-3C hardware unit is a true passive design; there are no input/output amplifiers and it does not require any external power. As a result, there is an inherent loss of signal level when using the HLF-3C hardware. The RRS HLF-3C plug-in compensates for this inherent signal loss for simplified use in the modern era; it has unity gain upon insertion (there is no insertion loss until one or both of the cut filters is engaged).

The HLF-3C interface is very simple and includes only three controls:

• Enable — This toggle switch is the plug-in bypass control. When in the down position (bypassed), plug-in processing is disabled altogether. The plug-in is engaged with the switch is in the up position. This switch can be used to compare the processed settings to that of the original signal;

• Low Cut — This rotary switch specifies the cutoff frequency of the low cut filter. Eleven frequencies are available: 50, 80, 100, 150, 250, 500, 750, 1000, 1500 and 2000 CPS;

• High Cut — This rotary switch specifies the cutoff frequency of the high cut filter. Eleven frequencies are available: 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 15 KCS.

To use HLF-3C as a plug-in, you need an AUv3-compatible host app like GarageBand, Auria, AUM, Cubasis and more — HLF-3C will appear in the list of Audio Unit extensions for effect plug-ins in the host app.
