Elastic Drums got a major update with a feature people were asking for a long time already:
With update 2.3 you can now route up to 6 Elastic Drums channels separately into your preferred InterApp Audio host, to use InterApp Audio or AUv3 effects on top of them. You might want to add some great sounding reverbs or delay on a synth of Elastic Drums, or you might want to add some extra compression to the kick, a great room effect on the snare, whatever … with the free update you can do that now 🙂
What many people love about Elastic Drums is, that it already comes with tons of great internal effects (2×13 Mono, 2×11 Stereo), which are playable in a very creative way via the built in XY pad (Kaoss Pad style) and that you can automate/record your tweakings even. But now with Eventide entering the iOS platform with 3 effects, iOS effects are definitely becoming studio-quality. With update 2.3 you can still use Elastic Drums internal effects and go crazy on the XY pad, but now you can also combine that with an Eventide Blackhole reverb on a channel of your choice. When you route an individual channel directly to the host, this channels gets disconnected form ED’s master out and from ED’s effects, to avoid phase shifting effects and audio chaos. Sounds complicated? It’s not not at all …

2.3 Jul 18, 2019
– Multiple outputs for Inter-App Audio sessions: In Inter-App Audio sessions you can now route the 6 instrument channels of Elastic Drums to external outputs, to add additional effects to them. When routed to an external output the signal is removed from the master output.
Wow Eventide just released three AU plugin effects for iOS and I’m super stoked. Big fan of their hardware AND desktop plugins it’ll be so nice to have these on my iPad. Have a look!
Create out of this world ambiance with Blackhole, a reverb effect as big as the cosmos. Blackhole breaks the rules by allowing you to create virtual spaces that could never exist in reality. At large sizes, its soft attack and lingering, harmonic tails allow it to really shine on guitars, strings, vocals and pads. At small sizes those very same qualities can add an angelic sheen to vocals or turn a simple drum track into an otherworldly rhythm section.
Features:
– Incredibly easy to use with over 80 presets; many created by Eventide artists.
– Ability to create extremely musical effects useful for highlighting key instruments.
– Supernatural settings for abstract spatial effects and drones.
– Subtle settings for ambient washes and track highlighting.
– Unique “Gravity” control reverses the arrow of time by inverting the reverb’s decay.
– Innovative Ribbon and Hotswitch allow for changing any combination of parameters simultaneously.
– Fully flexible mono and stereo options. Bring new realms of stereo imaging to mono instruments.
– Mixlock allows for scrolling through presets or settings while keeping the wet/dry mix constant.
– Available as an Audio Units AUv3 plug-in, Inter-App Audio, and Standalone App.
UltraTap is a unique multi-tap effect capable of rhythmic delays, glitchy reverbs, huge pad-like volume swells and extraordinary modulation. It’s the perfect tool for creating drum fills, vocal choruses, swelling guitar chords and other evolving effects — everything from reversed reverbs to a massed church choir singing a Gregorian chant in Notre-Dame Cathedral.
Features:
– Use up to 64 taps to create simple repeats or morph delays into choruses and reverbs.
– Speed up or slow down the rhythmic spacing between taps using the Spread knob.
– Use the onboard LFOs and envelopes to chop the sound source into stuttered rhythms.
– Use the innovative “Slurm” control to smear taps together or modulate them to create truly unique reverbs.
– Control the stereo image of taps to alternate between hard-panned and mono.
– Over 150 presets designed to inspire; including artist presets by Chris Carter, Colin Newman, Sasha and many more.
– Innovative Ribbon and Hotswitch allow for changing any combination of parameters simultaneously.
– Use Mix Lock to scroll through presets while keeping the wet-dry mix constant.

K7D is a powerful and affordable, vintage tape delay effect plugin for iOS. K7D recreates the hardware echo machines of the past using Imaginando’s signature style of obsessive analog emulation, but with an enhanced level of control from a sleek, modern interface. Using this approach allows a whole new world of creative possibilities, while still retaining a warm, full-bodied analog sound, bursting with character and personality.
To give K7D it’s distinctive analog flavour, we studied and analysed the tiny details of what makes classic hardware delays great, and painstakingly recreated every subtle nuance for a fantastically authentic sound.
Available as a standalone app and audio unit plugin, you can use it digital audio stations for iOS such as Garage Band, AUM, Cubasis, Auria, Audiobus, etc.
Features
– 1ms to 1 sec. dual playhead analog modeled delay with noise, tape distortion and mechanical vibration models

Kymatica just updated AUM – Audio Mixer with a whole bunch of MIDI improvements! There is a new MIDI channel strip to hold MIDI-only AUv3 plugins. There are a lot of features in AUM that can now be controlled via MIDI. The update also includes Ableton Link 3 start/stop support.
MAJOR NEW FEATURES
• Finally, updated to Ableton Link 3 with start/stop support!
• Add new “MIDI strip” channel type to hold MIDI-only AU plugins.
• Allow importing channels from another session. (Tap IMPORT add-button, or long-press a session file and choose ‘Import channels’)
• Allow easy duplication of channel strip.
• Allow loading sessions via MIDI actions. Its configuration is saved globally instead of in the session.
• Add MIDI program change as recognized MIDI control messages.
• Add MIDI ctrl for tap tempo.
• Add MIDI action ‘Show Plugin’ for AUv3 nodes.
• Add MIDI actions for AUv3 preset-loading.
• Avoid stuck notes when bypassing/disconnecting MIDI sources or changing MIDI destination filter/transpose
• Show AU contextName (if set) in plugin title and as node icon subtitle, long-press AU plugin title bar to edit.
IMPROVEMENTS
• Re-apply preferred samplerate on audio interface route change.
• Remember preferred sample rate on app launch.
• Save preferred instead of current sample rate in session.
• Bring keyboard to front if currently behind the plugin window when tapping plugin window keyboard button.
• Send error string to Audiobus if preset load failed.
• MIDI matrix: highlight source and dest on touch-down.
• Support upside-down portrait on iPhone.
• Improve display of long names in MIDI control table.
• MIDI learn consistency: always ignore the message that triggered the learn.
• Tweak node param-knob and menu button layout for consistency.
• Only update latency compensation on node-bypass if the node has latency.
• Save project: save when tapping Return on keyboard.
• Various minor UI and layout tweaks.
• Keep connections to MIDI Control from permanent MIDI sources on load/new session.
• Minor optimizations for MIDI Control.
BUGFIXES
• AUv3 Transpose: ignore extra bytes in note messages (hello Thesys).
• Clear MIDI matrix when loading session so it isn’t keeping connections from previous session.
• Don’t crash when trying to MIDI-control parameters of a crashed AU plugin.
• NodePicker: avoid keyboard on iPhone.
• NodePicker: fix memory leak if dismissed while in search mode.
• NodePicker: hide ‘remove slot’ button while searching.
• NodePicker: hide search if collection empty.
• Make sure we don’t free MIDI sources/destinations too early. Hopefully avoids rare crash…
• Improve MIDI safety when AU plugin was invalidated (crashed).
• Update MIDI matrix correctly if visible while loading session.
