New Klevgrand Reverb Revolv
Author View comments Tags Tags: , , ,

Sweden based software company Klevgrand presents Revolv, a unique reverb plugin like no other, emerging directly from our cultural and sonic heritage. Whether you place your mix in a peaceful forest, an ancient ruin, or a sweaty sauna, Revolv’s impulse responses capture the unique ambiance of each location. Explore historically and acoustically unique spaces like the medieval Gotland ruins or Uppsala Cathedral, meticulously recorded to give your audio a sense of depth and authenticity that sets it apart.

A labor of love (and obsession)

At the heart of Revolv is the dedication of our close friend and sound designer Oscar Björk, who embarked on an epic journey across Sweden in a project called “Echoes of Our Time”, capturing the unique acoustic fingerprints of a diverse selection of handpicked locations. His passion for preserving the soul and sound of these locations has resulted in an extraordinary collection of impulse responses, each a testament to his painstaking efforts and deep appreciation for Sweden’s acoustic heritage.

Wheels of time and space

Revolv features an innovative design, revolving around “location wheels” and a loupe selector. Simply move the selector around the wheels to change location and sound. Each location also offers a detailed view where you can learn more about the site and customize the decay, predelay, and width, as well as adjust your microphone preference and recording distance. Six wheels are available, each representing a group of locations, ranging from rare and quirky to epic halls.

No AI, Just Pure Acoustics

A convolution reverb blends your audio with an impulse response (IR) from a real acoustic space. Revolv simplifies this complex process, offering a user-friendly interface and an extensive variety of authentic environments.

Revolv’s impulse responses are hand-recorded and processed (no AI involved). Each IR is a genuine audio snapshot of a space’s natural acoustics, ensuring that the reverb you add to your recordings is as real and rich as the location itself. This authenticity makes Revolv an invaluable tool for musicians, sound designers, and audio engineers, particularly in fields like film and video game sound design where convincing space replication is key. Each location has a unique acoustic character, and the diversity caters for many different creative ideas.

Despite convolution reverbs being resource-heavy, Revolv is designed for efficient performance without sacrificing quality.

Revolv is available for iOS, MAC, and Windows HERE

Convolution reverb app for iPad

IMPULSation is an impulse response/convolution reverb that allows you to load in your own impulses for an an unlimited amount of neverb and amp possibilities. To give you an idea of the power of this app: There are literally hundreds of thousands of impulses freely available online and our app will load them all, given that it’s properly formatted in either .wav or .aif format. Say for example you have an electric piano sound that you want to run through a classic Fender™ AMP. You do a web search for “Fender AMP Impulses” and pick from the thousands of possibilities. You will literally spend hours upon hours freely downloading all of the available spaces, amps, reverbs, and/or delays to use within your favorite AUv3 DAW.

The technology of convolving and deconvolving is a method of putting in a signal through an amp, reverb unit, delay unit, or space and with sophisticated mathematical interpolations techniques, you can create a very close replica of the actual source. Our IMPULSation is specifically designed for AMPs, reverbs, delays, and spaces of which our code is optimized to detect which is being used. The detection allows us to optimize the signal for better CPU and for optimal sound.

iConvolver

iConvolver is an app for conveniently utilizing convolution reverb on an iOS device. Convolution is an effect that adds sampled reverberative properties to a sound to recreate the original properties of that sound. The data of these reverberative properties are called the Impulse Response(IR), and can record the properties of not only acoustic space but also from such things as hardware and speakers. By recording the properties of reverberation from acoustic spaces such as halls and studios, high grade hardware reverb, spring reverb, speaker cabinets and microphones, etc. to Impulse Response files, they can be reproduced in iConvolver.

ON SALE for LIMITED TIME (50% OFF)!!

As iConvolver comes with several Impulse Response files included, you can immediately test out those sounds.

iConvolver

***Main features***
+ Equipped with an original convolution engine.
+ Actualization of zero latency.
+ Compatible with external Impulse Response files(WAV/AIFF formats(1ch,2ch,4ch)). Open In is compatible with Zip files, and can extract Zip files as well. (Not compatible with password-protected Zip files)
+ Equipped with low pass and high pass filters for adjusting reverb sound.
+ Can be used in combination with other apps compatible with Audiobus and Inter-App Audio. Standalone operation also possible.
+ A universal app that can be used with both iPhone/iPad.
+ Comes with several original IR files(over 100) included.

***Main uses***

***Regarding hardware compatibility***
iConvolver by its nature requires a relatively heavy CPU load.
Devices with 64 bit CPU recommended.
iPhone 6 and above, iPad Air 2 and above are especially recommended.
By increasing the audio buffer size, and shortening the utilized IR, the memory load can be lessened.

Mobile-Convolution-Reverb-Icon

LiquidSonics Mobile Convolution is a true-stereo reverb processor for use with Audiobus and Inter-App Audio hosts. It allows impulse responses to be stretched, cropped and envelopes to be applied for shaping the sound of a reverb in a very natural and musical way. A configurable pre-delay provides the ability to push a reverb back into a sound-field or to creatively add rhythmic delay effects. The IR mirror mode adds further creative potential for ghostly reversed reverb effects with natural decays, or reverbs that gather into a crescendo.

With the high, low and peaking audio filters you can make adjustments to a space’s frequency spectrum, rolling off lows, highs or accentuating specific frequencies of interest with the variable gain and width control of the peak filter.

Stereo and true stereo impulse responses up to 90 seconds long can be loaded with very low input/output delay (latency). Mobile Convolution uses the same great LiquidSonics convolution engine that powers the desktop plug-ins which are used in both home and professional studios worldwide every day.

Browse and load impulse responses directly from the internet. Propellerheads have blogged a nice list here https://www.propellerheads.se/blog/free-reverb-resources-where-to-find-impulse-responses

A collection of true stereo impulse responses is provided, and external impulse responses can be added quickly and easily via Open-In… support in apps like Mail, Safari and Dropbox, downloaded directly from within the app or added via iTunes File Sharing.

Internal preset save and recall is provided, as well as Audiobus state-save recall support.
