Learn how to make drums in a synthesizer on an iPad

The following video tutorial will show you how to make drum sounds in a synthesizer. Drums immediately came to mind when asked to make presets for Audiokit Synth One. I just had to make a kit for folks who like to use synth drums like I do. The following sound design tutorial will get you started designing your own drums in a synthesizer in this case Synth One. This information works across the board so you can use this information on your favorite synth. I also formatted the kit for Patterning 1 and Patterning 2 so go ahead and grab that kit from the Patterning kit cloud. I highly recommend getting Patterning if you don’t have it already.

I’m super stoked about today’s episode (warning this is a long video that covers a lot) because we get to talk about two of my very favorite things Korg Gadget and Propellerheads Rex files! This demonstration will give you a brief history of rex files as well as explain what exactly they are and how you can make them your self. Then we transition into importing my free rex files into Korg Gadget Stockholm and then we close with a walkthrough /demo for Stockholm using some of those same free rex loops. Tutorial: Relaxation App Combo

I recently went to NAB in Vegas and my hotel was right off of Fremont street (downtown old Vegas). It was so noisy until about 3:30 am and I just could not sleep so I decided to have a bit of fun and create my own white noise ambient relaxation app combo. Ear plugs just didn’t work it was that bad. The white noise was inspired by my little 7 month old daughter we use white noise with her when she sleeps to drown out all the other noises like creaky floors helicopters, and police sirens (big city noises in Los Angeles). I thought to myself hey how can I create a fun white noise project in AUM on my iPad. I threw in a nice ambient melody generator for an additional relaxation element. The result, my “dream machine”. The following video shows you how you can make your very own “dream machine” hehehe
