SEQ3X64 is a MIDI step sequencer, with two melodic tracks and one drums track. Each track can be from 2 to 64 steps long. Up to 16 projects can be stored in the sequencer memory, each project containing up 16 sequences on each track.
Each step on the melodic tracks has its own configuration (note number, velocity and gate length), and can be tied to next step in order to get any note length. The two melodic tracks can also be transposed in real time.
The drums track can trigger 16 different events (note number, velocity and gate length). Each step on drums track can trigger the 16 events at the same time.
The three tracks can be configured independently in terms of direction (forward, reverse, alternate) and time division (1/4, 1/8, 1/16 and 1/32). Each track can also be used in triplet mode and can have a different number of steps. Tempo can be set from 30 to 300 bpm. SEQ3X64 can be clocked internally or externally, and it can provide MIDI synchronization data to other MIDI devices as a Master.
SEQ3X64 has been specifically designed to stay compatible with older iOS versions (iOS 5.1 minimum). A nice way to recycle an older iPad…
Tutorial for the application is available here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsUXwCLDJGU
IMPORTANT : SEQ3X64 requires a iOS compatible MIDI interface connected to the iPad via a Camera Connection Kit (for iPads 1/2/3) or a Lightning USB cable (for iPads 4or greater, iPad Air, iPad Mini and iPad Pro)
ChordFlow is a songwriting sketchpad that will help you create amazing chord progressions and melodies for your songs fast and easily
What’s New in Version 2.1.0
=== MELODY TRACKS ===
Each song section can now have up to 4 melody tracks in addition to 4 arpeggio tracks that we had already. So you can now create complete song ideas with chord progressions, arpeggios, and melodies. Melodies are edited in the separate(from arpeggio) grid. You can specify scale of the melody grid and configure the length and the rate parameters. The chords that you configured in the chord progression editor will be shown in the melody grid view below the note grid. And also for more convenience, chord notes will be highlighted with grey rounded bars allowing you to see which notes of the melody matches the corresponding chord.
=== NEW TRACK CONTROL PANEL ===
There is now a track control panel in the main view, at the bottom, where you can specify destination of each track and mute/solo individual tracks. This settings are now stored individually for each song.
=== LOOP REGIONS IN ARPEGGIO AND MELODY EDITOR ===
You can now loop a region when you are in the arpeggio or melody editor. To add a loop region, tap on the timeline bar above the note grid. After that, the loop with the default length of 4 steps will be added. You can then move the loop region around dragging it by its center or you can stretch and squeeze it by dragging it by its ends. To remove the loop region just tap on it again. The loop region is only active while you are in the editor view. When you move back to the main view, the loop is automatically removed.
=== OTHER CHANGES ===
– Remove(Trash) button in arpeggio and melody editors now removes only the selected track. And there is no moro annoying confirm. If you tap remove button accidentally, you can restore the deleted track with the undo button.
– Line tool and delete tool behaviour changed a little. Before this update, when you started to draw a line or delete a region, you could only extend the already drown region. Now it behaves more expectedly. If you have drawn a line further than you needed you can no move back to make it smaller
– Arpeggio grid max length increased to from 32 to 64 steps.
– Color scheme changed. After introducing 4 new colors for melody tracks, I decided to switch to more neutral background colors, as it was not looking very good on the original blue schema.

iMPC Pro 2 represents the next stage of evolution for the iMPC series,” said JP Walton, Co-founder of Retronyms. “It takes the classic beatmaking workflow found on the original and adds something we’ve been working on for a long time – the ability to rap or sing over the beat you’ve produced. This evolves the mobile beatmaking app concept into a more complete song creation tool. It has synchrony with what Akai has been working on with MPC desktop and their hardware as well.”
iMPC Pro 2 is available now on The App Store for $24.99. For a limited time only, existing iMPC pro users can upgrade to iMPC Pro 2 for $15.

[Overall improvements]
– Song position readout, in the transport bar, can be switched between BAR:BEATS, MM:SS.MS and SMPTE, simply by pressing it.
– Support of MIDI knob increment/decrement (“infinite” encoders), via MIDI RPN/NRPN.
– The transport bar record button will now be red when recording.
– Added an option, in the recording panel (press the ‘Q’ label on the transport bar), to disable minimal note length quantization.
– It is now possible to show/hide the left global navigation bar while displaying the AUv3 keyboard screen. This gives access to effects and macros from that view.
– It is now possible to tag packs & categories on a selection of files and directories, recursively from the Browser in files mode.
[Sampler & Plugins]
– Support of AUv3 MIDI plugins. Now, BeatMaker 3 will create virtual input MIDI devices for each AUv3 that supports MIDI out. This way, you can route MIDI messages to other plugins and the sampler.
– Added a ruler button on the full-screen sample editor to switch the time reference of the bottom grid between seconds, samples and bars/beats.
– When using the “Add to existing layer” sample load method, get the currently selected layer rather than the last one. The layer can be selected from the editor screen > SAMPLES tab, just below the small pads selector.
– Added move left/right and zoom in/out tools on the mapping editor toolbar.
– The “Stereo to Mono” sample process tool now offers the possibility to use only the left or right channel.
– When selecting a sample from the mapping editor, highlight it as well in the “SAMPLES” listing.
– When drag’n’dropping a sample that is added to an existing layer, auto-select it in the “SAMPLES” listing.
– Added tooltip next to sample markers when moving them, that will follow the current ruler unit (seconds, beats and samples).

– Sample editor zoom in/out is now behaving more naturally.
– Sample editor move left and right buttons will now behave more naturally.
– Double-tapping the sample editor “START/END” or “LOOP” button will focus and recenter.
– In the full-screen sample editor, added a marquee above sample & loop start/end markers to make it more obvious the area can be dragged.
– Zoom in/out and move functions are now consistent on all three modes: select, slice and normal.
– “Grid Snap” can now be used in Slices mode in the sample/slice editor.
– Long press on [-] and [+] on the sample editor will resp. fully zoom out or in.
[Sequencer]

Guitarscaper is a generative music app and virtual instrument that’s easy on the ears and fun to play. Launch the app, and with a single tap of the auto-play button, guitarscaper will create evolving and ambient guitar-based soundscapes that are unique every time.
While all of the guitarscaper sounds originated from a single electric guitar, many have been extensively processed to create an “impossible guitar” that can morph between orchestral-type swells and ethereal choir-like sounds. Think of it as guitar DNA taken to the next level!
Guitarscaper in auto-play mode is the perfect companion for relaxing, studying or providing non-intrusive headphone music at work or on your commute. You can even set a timer so you can fall asleep to its gentle and soothing tones.
You can also play guitarscaper as a virtual instrument using the dedicated keypads and performance loop recorders, and tailor the sounds with built-in reverb, delay and “character” effects parameters. And while you’re playing, guitarscaper can lend a hand by adding auto-accompaniment parts and even provides hints for notes it thinks might sound good depending on which notes you play!
As a sample-based instrument, guitarscaper currently supports two “moods” – a light mood, based on the E major / pentatonic Yo scale, and a sad mood, based on the Em pentatonic scale.
Please note that guitarscaper is not a chromatic or MIDI-compatible instrument, and it is unlikely to become one.
You can also record and process the audio output of guitarscaper using any Inter-App Audio host that supports IAA Generators.
You are free to use guitarscaper in your own recordings or live events and installations on a royalty-free basis. All I would ask for is a simple credit that includes the name of the app – “guitarscaper”.
I hope you will agree the guitarscaper interface, while minimalist and a perhaps a little cryptic initially, will eventually become very easy to use. Please do take the time to read the quick-start guide which can be found on the guitarscaper.com website. This is also the best place to ask questions, get technical support or report any issues.
