Retro Future
Inspired by the oil can delays of the 60s and our previous granular explorations, Curtis™ and Spunk™, Soup brings you a virtual magnetic fluid that you can record onto, slosh around, and play back from. You can use it as a unique delay effect or more like a granular synthesizer, concocting your own wholly novel sounds.
Quantum Sound
Soup breaks up recordings into individual sound quanta with which you can interact as if they made up an audio fluid. They can be played linearly or randomly, forward, backward, or even sideways. They can, moreover, be stirred together, giving a whole new meaning to mixing sound.
Sounds Touching
Not only is this an extremely visual audio experience, it’s terrifically tactile as well. With support for multi-touch, Soup lets you get in there and mangle the fluid in a way that’s simply not possible with knobs and faders.
Audio Palette
Soup will let you literally paint with sound. You can record external sounds through the microphone or import WAV files, slathering sound over the virtual fluid. Then your fingers can become play heads, reading back the sounds from any position, or multiple positions at once.
For all creatures in the ocean of sound – Sonic textures from other worlds, Analog signature sounds, Cut-through-the-mix leads and silkily smooth pads: Poseidon sets a new standard for sound design and ease of use. All of this was made possible through a combination of the familiar, conceptual simplicity of the analog synthesis and our frequency domain based Spectral modelling synthesis technology.
Select a basic sound model from over hundred delivered with Poseidon. The basic sound model determines the sound characteristic you want to start: taking a artificial model like “Sawtooth” gives you analog style sounds. Use complex models from analyzed samples for earth shaking ambients and evolving pads.
Model parameters
High level controls allow for changing the spectral shape, the harmonicity and balances the level of residual noise and spectral amount of the oscillator model.
F-Domain Filter
The newly developed F-Domain filter allow for drastic changes in the resulting sound spectrum. Five filter types including lowpass/highpass characteristic can be used to shape the sound. They have the usual controls like cutoff but also very unusual ones like a variable slope ranging from 0 dB to 72 dB / Octave and independent controls for resonance and bandwidth! This kind of controls are only possible in the context of our F-Domain synthesis technology. This results in an extremely clear filter sound with breathtaking fast modulation possibilities. The filter type “Inverse” interprets the sound model as a “Source” and a resonant body “Filter”. The cutoff parameter shifts the filterbase – this is the equivalent to making the instrument body smaller or bigger.
Spatializer
This simple control gives your sound a distinctive moving distribution in the stereo panorama. Every atomic sound particle has it´s own path through the space !

Utilize your iTunes Library and Dropbox of songs for remixing! Import songs from your iTunes Library, Dropbox, Slicr sound packs, and your own “.wav” samples to the “CRATE”. Then collect and edit snippets of songs for reuse in sample based beats, remixes and mashups.

Applying and routing reverb, delay and distortion can be done to a single slice or to multiple slices. Add some smoothness and control with the one-shot/hold mode and choke groups.
TIP: One common approach is to crop a sample to 1 bar, before cutting it with regions mode across 4 pads. Then add the 4 pads to the same choke group in one-shot mode.

Introducing a redesigned scene view and a number of improvements to simplify track making:
– The scene view can now be open while you arrange loops
– New play controls let you skip between scenes and toggle loop mode on/off without opening the scene view
– Loop and scene previews have been redesigned to make things easier to find
– Loops can now be labeled
– New color options added for instruments
– Each row of loops now fills the entire screen width
– Loops that are not active in any scene will get slightly dimmed and thereby easier to find if you want to delete unused loops in a project
– You can now solo an instrument while while you tweak the sound
– Sound tweaks can now be accessed in the loop editor
– Long-press a sample slot to copy and paste it
– Tap the tempo slider to change the tempo one BPM at a time
– The maximum tempo has been increase to 300 BPM

ADverb2 is an accurate model of a vintage digital plate reverb rack unit from the 80s, with a few modern tricks up its sleeve. From short, thick, rich reverbs ideal for drums on up to incredibly long heavily chorused, echoey spaces perfect for ambient music, ADverb2 is an excellent addition to your sonic toolkit.
ADverb2 works as a stand-alone effect, with Inter-App Audio, but we recommend its use as an AUv3 plugin in a host that supports the format like Beatmaker 3, AUM, Cubasis, GarageBand, etc.
