Strng is a string synthesiser inspired by the karplus-strong algorithm. The physical modelling starts with a short burst of noise that then guided by a tuned delay buffer and string tension filter, generates plucked string like sounds. No samples are used. Strng is 16 voice polyphonic and can be controlled with an in app 25 key chromatic keyboard or connect prefered midi controller through USB or Wifi. To further shape the sound two post effects are available, a ping-pong stereo delay and two channel resonant filter controlled by two LFOs. Connect to other apps through AudioBus, inter app audio or load in DAWs as AUv3.

SK-51 is an all-in-one keyboard inspired by the Casio SK-1 (and his brother the SK-5), a 8-bit lo-fi keyboard from the 80’s, with sampling features and onboard drum machine.
Called the poor man’s sampler at the time, this keyboard was a real instrument and has been used by many major artists such as Fatboy Slim, Portishead, Autechre and Nine Inch Nails.
As some of us at Fingerlab compose their first songs with it when they were kids in the eighties, we wanted to bring back to you this particular feeling from the past, so we created the SK-51.
We recorded all the instruments and drums notes, one by one with a professional audio quality (16bit/44KHz), we recreated the sampling features, and we transcribed all the demo drums patterns.
We also added the sounds from the Casio VL-Tone, a keyboard older than the SK-1 but nevertheless famous.
With its nice and true to life interface, many instruments (Trumpet, Flute, Piano, Vibraphone, …), 4 sampling slot and many drums patterns and sounds, the SK-51 is versatile and fun music tools.

+ Digital D1 can now open Scala Files: On your iPad select a link to a Scala file ending in “.scl” and you will see “Copy to Digital D1” as an option.

This functionality is kind of like Ableton Link, but, for Tuning.
How does this work? Go to the “Tune” panel in Synth One. There’s a new button called “TuneUp” (starting w/ version 1.0.3), click on that to open D1. You can also share master tuning setting.
+ New “Back” Button & Scale “Reset” buttons in D1 when using a scale from another app.
+ NEW Master Tuning knob on the bottom of the “FX” panel in D1 It goes from 432 to 440. If you want a wider range, you can set the tuning from Synth One
+ D1 now loads last used preset when restarted
