Spectrum free synth for iOS

Spectrum is a collection of Audio Unit ports of popular eurorack synthesizer modules. To use Spectrum, load the Audio Units in your DAW or AU host of choice, like Audiobus, GarageBand or AUM. The app itself makes no sound.

Included are:

Spectrum – Multi-mode 8-voice polyphonic oscillator featuring 14 high quality oscillator algorithms
Modal – Modal synthesis. Bowed, Blowed, and Struck sounds through a 64-band resonator. Also included as an effect.
Resonator – 7 beautiful string generation algorithms. Also included as an effect
Granular – Granular sampler, looper, pitch shifter, reverb effect.

Each audiounit also features:

– modulation LFO
– modulation ADSR envelope
– XY touchpad (except on Modal)
– 2-source modulation matrix allowing for complex and evolving patches.
– MIDI CC control of parameters
– Loadable as an AudioUnit effect (except Spectrum)

Spectrum contains DSP code provided under the MIT open source license by Mutable Instruments.

Virtual ANS 3 For iPad

Virtual ANS is a software simulator of the unique Russian synthesizer ANS – photoelectronic musical instrument created by Evgeny Murzin from 1938 to 1958. The ANS made it possible to draw music in the form of a spectrogram (sonogram), without live instruments and performers. It was used by Stanislav Kreichi, Alfred Schnittke, Edward Artemiev and other Soviet composers in their experimental works. You can also hear the sound of the ANS in Andrei Tarkovsky’s movies Solaris, The Mirror, Stalker.

The simulator extends the capabilities of the original instrument. Now it’s a full-featured graphics editor where you can convert sound into an image, load and play pictures, draw microtonal/spectral music and create some unusual deep atmospheric sounds. This app is for everyone who loves experiments and is looking for something new.

Dexed FM Synth for iPad

An iOS port of Dexed, an FM Synthesizer. Comes with AudioUnit AUv3 plugin for GarageBand and other apps like AUM. iOS Midi, bluetooth MIDI supported, get a camera kit and plug in through USB.
