This popular iPhone app is now available for the iPad.
SoundZen is a new concept for music. It allows you to generate constantly evolving and changing music with no effort at all.
SoundZen uses a form of cellular logic to determine how your song evolves over time. It follows 2 simple principles:
1. When an arrow touches the edge of the grid, play a note.
2. If arrows collide they must turn 90 degrees for each arrow they collide with
You set up the app by touching any of the positions on the grid, touch it again to change direction and press play. Using the principles above, SoundZen will take you on a zen-like journey based on the input you gave. Sit back, relax and watch as your song changes right in front of you.
You can also save/load your songs and purchase new sounds from the store. After buying a new instrument you can change it by pressing the arrows above the instrument image.
It’s a fact: everyone sounds better with the T-Pain effect. Transform your voice and get your T-Pain on with scrolling lyrics and original beats from the hottest producers. Sing the songs included in the app or give your voice the T-Pain effect while singing along to any track in your iTunes library.
As seen on The Ellen Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, the Jimmy Fallon Show, and Auto-Tune the News.
I Am T-Pain has been featured in the New York Times, CNN & Billboard.
“Do you have any idea how many hours I could waste getting my mom to sing Auto-Tuned hip-hop?” – Mashable

ImproVox is like Autotune for the iPad but it is much more than that. It’s also a vocal instrument. Real-time pitch correction and harmonization enable you to create lush harmonies as you sing – and always sound in tune! Add vibrant textures with effects like reverb, echo, and flanger, record your performance and share it with friends.
With new overdub and sharing features, it’s possible to collaborate with people from all over the world. Download tracks from other ImproVox users with SoundCloud and overdub your own parts, or take your favorite song from your iTunes library, and sing along.
Harmonies and effects are controlled via two large touch pads. Changing the sound of your voice is as easy as moving your fingers across the screen, and you don’t need to know any music theory. Because effect and harmony characteristics can be changed while you sing, the sonic possibilities are endless. Create reverberant rock hits and cavernous choral compositions, or just speak into the mic and transform your voice using abstract effects.
Never before have so many powerful features been bundled into one easy-to-use App. With state-of-the-art audio processing and a sophisticated yet intuitive feature set, it’s both easy to enjoy and a challenge to master. Controls are simple and immediately gratifying, while recording and sharing is easy and straightforward. With 5 unique harmony styles and 8 different effects to choose from, you can make your music as simple or complex as you choose. All it takes is the desire to explore — and create.
Features Include:
-Real-time vocal pitch correction
-Real-time 4-part harmonization in varying styles (Choral, Pop, Barbershop, Jazz, Baroque)

iPad Loops is an iOS music production blog dedicated to exposing the best iPad apps musicians, producers, and Djs. This is not a database of every app. It is, however, one of useful recommendations from someone with many years in music production. I try to update it on a daily basis (ok sometimes every two days) and I do my best to post useful apps only. My name is Jason Donnelly (Dj Puzzle).
Some of the apps that contain my sounds are Synth One, EG Segments, Hammerhead, Retronyms AudioCopy, Audio Evolution Mobile, and iMPC Pro. My work is published by Roland, Antares, Magix, Soundtrack Loops, Sample Logic, Acoustica, Native Instruments, The Grammt Museum and many more.
