Omelet is an incredibly realistic egg shaker for iPhone and iPod touch. Using high-precision motion data from the accelerometer, Omelet is able to reproduce the behavior and range of sounds found in a real shaker – making it ideal for professional musicians to use live on stage or in the studio.
When you roll and rotate Omelet in your hand, it makes tumbling sounds. Shaking slowly sounds different to shaking quickly. Even the direction of your shake (side-to-side and back-to-front) sounds different, just like the real thing!
Omelet uses 3D physical modeling, over 20 high-fidelity samples, and a synthesis technique called granular synthesis to generate various roll, shuffle, and impact sounds in real-time that blend seamlessly together.
But Omelet isn’t your average egg shaker. With two unique built-in effects, you can create a wide variety of new sounds, making it more versatile and musical than a real shaker. It’s great fun for anyone to pick up and play with!
Omelet In A Live Situation!
Features:
● Volume and mute controls
● Two unique effects: Mu and Blue Room
● Automatic locking to prevent accidental changes while playing
● Multitasking support for jamming with your iPod
● Two tailor-made sample banks: one to maximize volume while playing through the built-in speakers; the other with greater dynamic range while playing through the headphone jack
● Optimized for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch (3rd & 4th generation)
iPad Loops is an iOS music production blog dedicated to exposing the best iPad apps musicians, producers, and Djs. This is not a database of every app. It is, however, one of useful recommendations from someone with many years in music production. I try to update it on a daily basis (ok sometimes every two days) and I do my best to post useful apps only. My name is Jason Donnelly (Dj Puzzle).
Some of the apps that contain my sounds are Synth One, EG Segments, Hammerhead, Retronyms AudioCopy, Audio Evolution Mobile, and iMPC Pro. My work is published by Roland, Antares, Magix, Soundtrack Loops, Sample Logic, Acoustica, Native Instruments, The Grammt Museum and many more.
