Espresso is an advanced de-esser app for iPad with an intuitive user interface. The uniqueness of Esspresso is that the detection frequency range isn’t coupled with the suppressors frequency range. That means you can listen to a specific frequency and compress another one, which is often what you’ll want from a professional de-esser. With a fast and accurate frequency response view, you will easily get full control over annoying S-sounds that ruin the mix.

Remaster-EQ-Compressor

Remaster sports the only 7 band parametric equalizer as an AU plugin (Audio Unit) and for Audiobus. Open several instances of Remaster in an AU host like MultitrackStudio for example. It is fully multitouch enabled. Remaster is a tool to rework your songs, loops and recordings. Currently a seven band equalizer can be employed, including a toggle to normalize the sound or not. The latest addition to our effects line is a compressor inspired from our Compressor app. The feature set will grow over time.

Remaster EQ Compressor Audio Unit

The equalizer is a seven band parametric equalizer with full visual as well as text entry control for all three parameters: gain, center frequency and q.

The compressor is a standard volume compressor with attack and release settings as well as threshold and compress ratio.

Both compressor and equalizer have a number of presets available to get you started and you can save your own presets as you create them.

Processing is done in 64 bit and has a sophisticated dither function as final step to prevent quantization errors. Dithering can be disabled to improve processing speed.

Export settings to PDF
This function allows to create a table of your current settings (frequency, gain and Q for each node) and email it as a PDF. Every generation of a PDF is a separate purchase.

MultitrackStudio Audio Units

MultitrackStudio for iPad is the first audio/MIDI multi-track recording app to support audio unit. It comes with many high quality audio effects including a guitar amp simulator. Use this app as an AU audio unit host on your iPad. Audio Unit effects (Remaster for example) will open within this app in a custom window (as opposed to the old school IAA way as a separate app window).

Both audio and MIDI tracks can be edited. MIDI editing features include pianoroll, drum and score editors.

Free DSI Tempest Samples

Free Industrial EBM Patterning kit created and sampled from a DSI Tempest drum machine.

The following video demonstrates how one can “jam” live by triggering different patterns within Patterning’s song section. I prepared a free Industrial/EBM kit in Patterning .onps file format. I created all of the samples with a DSI Tempest drum machine and ran them through an Empirical Labs Distressor.

How To Open Patterning Kits From The Internet

How to open Patterning kit from the internet

Hello all, here are the simple steps to open a patterning kit from an address on the internet. The simplest and most common way to share Patterning kits is to export/upload them to Dropbox and share the url. Follow these simple steps to download a Patterning .onps kit.

STEP 1 Click on the Dropbox link. When someone uploads a kit to Dropbox and links to it on a website like Facebook for example it will look like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2w83beyj8umvosh/tempest1.onps?dl=0

(YOU WILL NEED THE DROPBOX APP ON YOUR DEVICE Click to get Dropbox)

Now a window will open like the one in the image below. Simply click “save to my Dropbox” (you may have to sign in to your Dropbox account).

STEP 2 Open your Dropbox app and select the kit then click the little box/arrow in the upper right hand corner and choose “open in” Patterning.

Step 3 Now in Patterning hit the Drum Kits tab and select the kit you just imported. That’s it!

Alternate instructions for storing locally and organizing your files with Audioshare:

STEP 2 (alternate for storing locally in audioshare) Open the Audioshare app and click the little green box with a down arrow in it. The one at the bottom left next to the web browser icon. Now select “Dropbox”.

STEP 3 Import the kit, the file with .onps file extension.

STEP 4 Once imported you select the .onps file and then you will get an option to open in “copy to Patterning” and from there you can select Patterning.

STEP 5 Now you can open the kit with bonus beat patterns by using the File/Open. It will not appear in the kits section unless you save it as a kit on your own.
