MOLLI LOOPER for iOS is a realtime stereo effect for looping and filtering. Intended mainly as a live performance tool, no preparation is needed to trigger loop recording – input is constantly recorded in the background to be triggered whenever it is needed.
Loop timing is synced to host clock, and can be adjusted from multi-bar loops right down to 16th note drills.
The looped or unlooped audio is then passed though a lowpass -> neutral -> highpass resonant filter, based on a 4 pole ladder design for lush analogue style sound.
You can use Molli Looper either as iOS Standalone app or as AUv3 plugin.
FEATURES
– Combination of looper and stutter/freeze effect
– Continuous recording: instant recording/looping
– Runs in sync with host clock
– Jumps to meaningful places in the recording: „Snap to grid“
– Grid: 1/32, 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1, 2, 4, 8 bars
– Ability to scroll through the recording
– Lowpass/highpass resonant filter
– Long Tap XY keeps filter position
– Limiter/booster effect
Molli Looper is available on the App Store HERE
Apple announced Logic Pro for the iPad which will be available May 23rd 2023. Apple says in its press release:
“With Multi-Touch gestures, music creators can play software instruments and interact naturally with controls, as well as navigate complex projects with pinch-to-zoom and swipe-to-scroll. Plug-in Tiles put the most useful controls at the creator’s fingertips, making it easy to quickly shape sounds.
With the built-in mics on iPad, users can capture voice or instrument recordings, and with five studio-quality mics on iPad Pro, users can turn virtually any space into a recording studio. Creators can also make precision edits and draw detailed track automation with Apple Pencil, and connect a Smart Keyboard Folio or Magic Keyboard to utilize key commands that speed up production.”
Multi-Touch transforms your iPad into an expressive professional instrument that you can play. Create music with dynamic software instruments and control hundreds of plug‑ins intuitively.
Logic Pro for iPad will be available as part of a subscription for $4.99 per month or $49 per year. The app will be compatible with A12 Bionic chip iPad models or later.

Features:
– Analog style tape delay with tempo sync option. Delay time can be fine-tuned, even when using tempo sync.
– Two filters with adjustable cutoff frequency and resonance. Filters can be set low-pass, high-pass, band-pass or band-reject.
– Tube-like distortion unit.
– LFO allows modulation of filter cutoff frequencies and/or saturation amount. 7 different waveforms selectable.

ButterSynth is a hybrid 6-oscillator synthesizer with a vast sonic range, from gentle pads to screaming leads and basslines. It’s like Serum for the iPad and iPhone.
ButterSynth is a hybrid 6-oscillator wavetable/FM/sample-based AUV3 and standalone synthesizer with a vast sonic range, from gentle pads to screaming leads and basslines.
Mix any combination of wavetable, FM, sample and other synthesis engines for one truly massive sound.
For the more advanced users, you’ll love using ButterSynth’s thoughtfully designed interface, incredibly powerful modulation matrix, fully-featured internal FX rack, factory waveform and sample libraries, and almost limitless scope for fun, experimentation and sound design.
For less experienced synth programmers, ButterSynth includes a library of hundreds of ready-to-use presets, sparking your creativity to start making music right away.
Headline features include
– Mix and match any combination of 6 synthesis engines to either emulate your favourite synths of yester-year or build a synth ready for the future.
– Dual-wavetable engines also feature 9 phase modes, wave folding, and deep unison controls modelled on vintage hardware synths.
– Built-in wavetable editor gives you the ability to tweak, morph, and hand-draw your own custom wavetables, with each wavetable supporting up to 256 frames.
– FM engine offers 4 operators with a selection of 12 modulation paths. Each operator can be loaded with any waveform from the factory or user library, and can also self-modulate via the feedback dial.
– Sample and Granulator engines both let you load samples (either imported or from the factory library) and control precisely how they are chopped, triggered and layered. Both also feature the same powerful unison modes available in the WT engine.
– Highly configurable 32-slot modulation matrix featuring precise mix/max ranges, self-modulation (via the amount target), plus configurable response curves and layer modes. Simply long-tap any parameter to set it as a Mod destination!
– Full suite of versatile control sources which includes: 4x MSEG-style looping curve envelopes, 4x LFOs, 4x step sequencers, X/Y pad with motion recording, 8x Macro dials and a powerful arpeggiator inspired by Kirnu Interactive’s Cream.
– The EFX rack lets you build your own insert effects chain using any combination of the 16 built-in FX modules. Modules available at launch include delay, reverb, distortion, chorus, OTT compression etc. Note – FX parameters can also be targeted by the mod matrix, unlocking the possibility to program ‘per voice’ modulated effects.
– All presets, wavetables, samples and other settings are stored in the Files app, making bulk import/export, backup and community sharing quick and easy.
– All of this is housed in an irresistibly designed 4-tab UI that makes synth programming quick and fun.
iPad Loops is an iOS music production blog dedicated to exposing the best iPad apps musicians, producers, and Djs. This is not a database of every app. It is, however, one of useful recommendations from someone with many years in music production. I try to update it on a daily basis (ok sometimes every two days) and I do my best to post useful apps only. My name is Jason Donnelly (Dj Puzzle).
You might know me from my royalty free loop packs and sound design. Some of the apps that contain my sounds are Synth One, EG Segments, Hammerhead, Retronyms AudioCopy, Audio Evolution Mobile, LP-5, iPRO.DJSAMPLER, Looptastic. My work is published by Roland, Antares, Magix, Soundtrack Loops, Sample Logic, Acoustica, Loopmasters and many more. Subscribe to our RSS feed below to get updated when new apps are posted.
