Udu Drum For iPad

Udu Drum For iPad

Udu Drum brings some of the rich tones of the Nigerian udu to iOS devices.

-Best with headphones or plugged into a stereo or speaker system.

Udu means “vessel” in the native language of the Igbo people of Nigeria, where the drum originated. Typically made from clay, the drum is played by hand. It is a wonderfully expressive instrument, producing a wide variety of tones and pitches ranging from deep bass to crisp highs and everything in between.

Look up “udu” and “igbo” online, youtube, etc. and you will find a wealth of incredible musicians and history!

****NOTE – If you cannot get sound from Udu Drum, PLEASE UNMUTE your device!!! If your device is MUTED, or your volume is set to ZERO, you will not hear any sound!****

Udu Drum is available for free for a limited time.

  • iPad Loops is a music app blog dedicated to exposing the best iPad apps for iOS musicians, producers, and Djs. This is not a database of every app. It is, however, one of useful recommendations from someone with many years in music production. I try to update it on a daily basis (ok sometimes every two days) and I do my best to post useful apps only. My name is Jason Donnelly (Dj Puzzle). You might know me from my royalty free loop packs and sound design. Some of the apps that contain my loops are Retronyms AudioCopy, LP-5, iPRO.DJSAMPLER, Looptastic, and Audio Elements. My work is published by Magix Soundtrack Loops, Sample Logic, Pakotec, Loopmasters, Acoustica, Xmix, Sound Trends, and many more. Subscribe to our RSS feed below to get updated when new apps are posted.
