4Pockets Midi Layers

4Pockets Midi Layers

MIDI Layers is an AUv3 MIDI plugin designed to allow sophisticated routing of MIDI data in hosts such as AUM or Cubasis.
Have you ever wanted to play multiple instruments from a single master keyboard during a live performance? Would you like to be able to set up keyboard splits, crossfade layers or create an ensemble of layered instruments? If you answered yes to either of those questions, then MIDI Layers may be your solution.

Layers allows you to create up to 12 scenes, each with up to 127 layers, spanning your entire master keyboard. These scenes allow you to seamlessly switch between various layer mappings at any time during a performance.
Each layer controls the MIDI output, which can be routed to one of MIDI Layers 16 output ports and 16 channels. So if you have 5 layers in your scene, each layer is able to divert MIDI key input to 5 destinations, allowing you to control 5 instruments from one master keyboard.
Layers can overlap, meaning you can create an ensemble of two or more instruments. Layers can also have cross fades so that you can fade from one instrument to another across a specified range. You can also control the velocity curves of a layer if you need to emphasize note velocity at a certain set of octaves.

Each layer can also be remapped so that you can target a different key range on the destination instrument. This allows you to have several single note layers that can target specific drum machine samples for instance.
You can assign a song per scene, or have several scenes containing parts of the same song. Switching scenes is simple, using the on screen scene buttons, via AU parameters, or you can even add a special control layer to a scene which can then be triggered via your master keyboard.

It is also possible to assign a Program Changes to a layer. When you switch scenes, each layer can fire off its own program change to your destination instruments.
Each scene can be assigned its own scale, which enables you to play using only the white notes so say goodbye to wrong notes.
Finally, layers can be assigned to mute groups, allowing you to quickly turn on/off groups of layers with a single key or button press.

Features:
○ Up to 127 layers per scene.
○ 12 scenes per preset.
○ Supports 16 output ports and 16 channels.
○ Remote switching of scenes using MIDI or AU.
○ Supports layer mutes and mute groups.
○ Named scenes with large scene selection mode.
○ Supports scales per scene which can be played using white notes only.
○ Each layer can define a Program Change that is sent when scenes are switched.
○ Supports per layer velocity curve.
○ Supports per layer remapping of notes on output.
○ Each layer can have a cross fade settings assigned.
○ Definable Master Keyboard size (6, 7, 8 or 10 octave).
○ Scene and mute control layers.
○ Provides default custom layouts.

Please Note: This product will not work with GarageBand since it cannot load AUv3 MIDI plugins.

Free Physicles MIDI App

Free MIDI sequencer app

Free MIDI sequencer app

Physicles, is a free MIDI app.

This is a physics-based AU MIDI plugin collection – although right now there is only one plugin, Bouncy. I plan to create at least one more plugin (Sandbox), although it will take a while.

So, what is Physicle Bouncy? This is a particle emitter AUv3 MIDI app that is heavily influenced by Caelestis, with a little dose of PHYsynth. In more detail: in this app, various balls bounce within a (rotating) box; and MIDI messages are generated whenever a ball collides with the side of the box. All balls and the border follow the laws of physics (although with no gravity and perfect elasticity), and their velocity and direction can be changed individually. Besides, it is possible to “play” the AU, by changing the notes played by the box or by the balls upon collision by using the host’s piano. With this it is possible to play chords using interesting rhythms o:) . Besides, I have used some of the conventions of the Rozeta suite that I think all AU MIDI apps should have, like the possibility to change the current playground using the host’s piano (keys C1-C2)

Refraktions is an 8-track generative MIDI sequencer with artificial intelligence that processes input over time to create loops tailored to each individual user.

I have to admit I was really excited to purchase this app and then when I did it was a tad disappointing (sorry dev) BUT this new update came today and solved a lot of the issues so I just had to publish a video. I hope you enjoy it!

ChordFlow Update With Melody Tracks
Author View comments Tags Tags: , , , , , , ,

ChordFlow is a songwriting sketchpad that will help you create amazing chord progressions and melodies for your songs fast and easily

What’s New in Version 2.1.0
=== MELODY TRACKS ===
Each song section can now have up to 4 melody tracks in addition to 4 arpeggio tracks that we had already. So you can now create complete song ideas with chord progressions, arpeggios, and melodies. Melodies are edited in the separate(from arpeggio) grid. You can specify scale of the melody grid and configure the length and the rate parameters. The chords that you configured in the chord progression editor will be shown in the melody grid view below the note grid. And also for more convenience, chord notes will be highlighted with grey rounded bars allowing you to see which notes of the melody matches the corresponding chord.

=== NEW TRACK CONTROL PANEL ===
There is now a track control panel in the main view, at the bottom, where you can specify destination of each track and mute/solo individual tracks. This settings are now stored individually for each song.

=== LOOP REGIONS IN ARPEGGIO AND MELODY EDITOR ===
You can now loop a region when you are in the arpeggio or melody editor. To add a loop region, tap on the timeline bar above the note grid. After that, the loop with the default length of 4 steps will be added. You can then move the loop region around dragging it by its center or you can stretch and squeeze it by dragging it by its ends. To remove the loop region just tap on it again. The loop region is only active while you are in the editor view. When you move back to the main view, the loop is automatically removed.

=== OTHER CHANGES ===
– Remove(Trash) button in arpeggio and melody editors now removes only the selected track. And there is no moro annoying confirm. If you tap remove button accidentally, you can restore the deleted track with the undo button.

– Line tool and delete tool behaviour changed a little. Before this update, when you started to draw a line or delete a region, you could only extend the already drown region. Now it behaves more expectedly. If you have drawn a line further than you needed you can no move back to make it smaller

– Arpeggio grid max length increased to from 32 to 64 steps.

– Color scheme changed. After introducing 4 new colors for melody tracks, I decided to switch to more neutral background colors, as it was not looking very good on the original blue schema.
