MV08 Update AUv3 and MORE!

The MV08 features over 200 16bit 44.1k wav files that have been faithfully sampled from one of the most important drum machines in history. (featuring 60 samples for the kick drum alone!). On top of the original voice controls we have added Pan, Pitch and two editable send effects per voice, along with a master 3 band EQ and Distortion.

A POWERFUL SEQUENCER

Keeping the classic XOX style sequencer from the original, we have added in some powerful updates bringing it into the 21st century: All of the voice controls can now be sequenced per step, giving you limitless freedom and possibilities to create evolving and innovative rhythms (not to mention killer bass lines!). Each pattern can be 1-64 steps long and played at either a 16 or 32 step resolution – giving you endless options to create complex time signatures and long evolving loops.

FUN WITH PATTERNS

There are 8 banks of 16 patterns giving you a total of 128 user patterns to play with, ensuring you don’t run out of space when inspiration strikes. We’ve created a separate demo bank to get you started featuring some classic rhythms from time gone by. You can even record the master output and export to your favourite DAW.

Maxima Automatic Gain Control App

Maxima is an audio effect designed to provide automatic gain control of your audio materials to ensure that the levels stay consistent and never exceed 0dB. It’s a clever combination of dynamic processors that can be set to provide a gentle transparent signal boost respecting the initial dynamic or significant colorised level maximisation. Thanks to a unique signal path, algorithms and a small set of parameters, Maxima makes a complicated task easy.

In addition to the classic final stage application, Maxima excels on individual tracks too. With a few changes it’s easy to go from the common gain deviation compensation, e.g. for vocals, to drastical audio changes that will bring your audio material to new territories: boost reverb tails, flattenize drums… The applications are various and the possibilities are limitless.

As with all FAC products the interface has a unique sober look and provides a great user experience. Maxima also brings a real-time multi-waveform graph having a 6s buffer of the audio material before and after operations, this will help on setting the right parameters and have a visual feedback.

Synthscaper New Designer Tool Update

Synthesizer specially designed for creating and experiments with ambient soundscapes in wide range from noises to melodic instruments and everything in between.

You can construct melodic pads or atonal soundscapes from different kind of built-in or downloaded samples by using all power of multi-layered oscillators, chains of filters and effects, envelope generators and low frequency oscillators. Or just use predefined scenes and creating your own scenes from library of oscillators presets.

Very flexible settings of each module give you a great opportunity for creating unique and colorful sounding from usual instruments or natural samples and adding automated changes and spatial effects for an endless variations. Different ways of assigning screen and MIDI keyboards to the oscillators provide very advanced features to control the sound. The on-screen keyboard is adapted to create special effects and varying the continuous textures and drones.

The Designer tool using the neural network generates new presets based on already existing by adding some random variations and checking the result so that the new preset remains similar to the selected pattern.

HOW IT WORKS
Shaper is composed by several modules, that you can rearrange as you want:
– a glitch gate
– a waveshaper section with 5 brand new inspiring functions: Muffin, Multistress, Cracker, S&M, Bits&Samps
– a transform section with wave-clipper, wave-wrapper, and wave-folder
– a resonator/short delay, that can act as a comb filter too

You choose how to feed it and how to mix it with a gain and a dry/wet section. Two oscilloscopes display audio signals before and after processing: this gives you a realtime visual feedback about how you are morphing your sound wave.

Each parameter offers a range that lets you process the signal so slightly… Or so massively! Changing the order of modules in the chain, makes of Shaper an incredibly versatile sounds processor!

WAVESHAPING FUNCTIONS
The waveshaper module applies a shaping function to incoming signal. It’s the timbral core of the audio process. Several functions are available: Muffin and Cracker applies a digital warming function with a distinction in the weight that noise takes in the wet signal. Multistress is a bit more fragmentes function, giving a more modulated FM-ish result. These three let user control the process via blend and color parameters. This helps you to apply a different dose of Shaper cure to your sound 😉

S&M is basically an amplitude modulation, driven by ramps; the length parameter here sets the frequency of these. This function brings a like-metal flavour… Raw digital power!

The last function Bits&Samps is a standard bit reducer.

MODULAR STRUCTURE
Shaper lets you work fast with gestures support:
– you want to rearrange modules? Just drag them as you prefer and create different chains for different needs
– need instant reset to default value for a parameter? Just double tap on cursor
– fine tuning? Just tap and hold the cursor, then drag it left or right to increase the resolution of your vertical dragging

Shaper is Audiobus presets and state saving compatible. It can also store its status while working in all major host-apps sets as AUM, Modstep, GarageBand, etc. You can also save internal presets, and share them with your collaborators easily.
