StreamByter is a plugin for creating custom MIDI effects. It can be used as an Apple Audio Unit (AU) effect or as a standalone app connected via CoreMIDI virtual ports. StreamByter is ported from our acclaimed MidiFire MIDI processing environment.
An iOS device (minimum iOS 11) and a suitable AU host app such as AUM, apeMatrix, Cubasis or Sequencism is required to use the AU variant. To use with CoreMIDI, a routing app like MidiFire is recommended and an iOS device with at least iOS 8 is required.
Use StreamByter to:
– Extend the MIDI processing functionality of any AU host.
– Remap channels, notes, controllers (anything MIDI)
– Filter MIDI events coarsely or finely
– Clone or Delay any event
– Send any event automatically when plugin is loaded
– Create complex effects using programming concepts like conditionals, loops, variables (including array, timing and random), and math operators.

midiFILTr-PG is a Probability Gate MIDI effect designed for Audiobus 3 but also usable with CoreMIDI. midiFILTr-PG listens to MIDI input and based on random chance mutes some of the incoming notes to make a busy, repetitive stream of notes a little more interesting and sparser.
It has four modes:
Gate Mode – One set percentage to be muted for all notes. Also includes Gate On Repeats (when a note passes through unmuted, also pass through X more notes after) and Gate Off Repeats (when a note does not pass through the gate, also mute the next X notes) to make things a little more interesting.
Note Mode – Each note in the scale (C, C#, D etc) has its own percentage chance to mute incoming notes.
Sequencer Mode – Every eight notes has a different percentage chance to be muted. Can also change the sequence length to be less than eight.
Thru Mode – Nothing is muted, normally not used but there if you need it.
If midiFILTr-PG is inserted as an Audiobus 3 MIDI effect it should be setup and work automatically. If you wish to use it without Audiobus you can toggle the CoreMIDI input and output and use it that way.
This MIDI effect app for Audiobus 3 allows you to filter out MIDI messages on specific MIDI channels. Furthermore, you can remap the channel to a different value.

NOTE: This app requires Audiobus 3. Insert it into one or more MIDI effect ports to affect the data going through the respective pipelines.
Midiflow allows you to send MIDI from app to app in a similar way to what you already do with audio. That way, you can sync apps with each other or send MIDI parts from a sequencer app to different synth apps. You can also route the MIDI from your keyboard to apps and assign different key zones to them. Different settings can be stored as a preset, recalled later and inserted into another preset. Furthermore, all MIDI transfer can be monitored in order to find problems or just to learn what MIDI is doing (normally) behind the scenes.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Midiflow allows you to create multiple routings. Each routing receives MIDI data on its source and sends it to its destination. The selectable sources and destinations include your CoreMIDI compatible MIDI interface and other apps if they provide a virtual MIDI port. You can also create custom ports that can be used by other apps to receive data from Midiflow or send data to it. A routing also has a modifier which allows you to filter data or modify it. That way, you can transpose notes, limit them to a key range, change the MIDI channel of the incoming data, etc. (see the feature list below).

This allows you to create very sophisticated remappings.

DOES MIDIFLOW WORK WITH MY SYNTH APPS?
Midiflow works with every app that has a correct MIDI implementation. In the best case, it has an own virtual MIDI port and can be configured so that it receives MIDI only on that port. Unfortunately, some apps don’t have that, but can at least be restricted to one MIDI channel. In that case, you can send to that channel on the global MIDI port “Network Session 1”. If you can’t select a channel either, then the app won’t work with Midiflow. There is a tutorial video on www.midiflow.com that explains this in more detail.
