Nanoloop combines sequencer, synthesizer and sampler in one package. It provides all functions for creating electronic music from scratch. Watch the video tutorial below to learn how to use Nanoloop.

– Easy to use sequencer, suitable for rhythm and melody
– Automatisation of all parameters
– 8 channels, each can be synth or sampler
– 8 patterns per channel
– Sample via microphone
– Re-sample
– Polyphonic FM-, PWM- and noise synth
– Song editor with loop function
– Send and receive projects via e-mail
– WAV export
– Sharing projects and audio in file sharing apps like Dropbox is possible when these apps are installed.
– MIDI sync with other devices

The Synth

Nanoloop’s FM synth offers a maximum of flexibility within a small set of parameters. It comes with a stereo modulator detune effect and covers the typical clean bells and Rhodes-like sounds, spheric pads, thick beats and basses.

The Sequencer

The stepsequencer visualises the rhythmic structure in a compact 4×4 square matrix, making it very easy to lay out patterns.

The Sampler

Besides A/D envelope, loop function, start offset, tune and fine tune, the puristic sampler comes without effects. You can record up to 6 seconds via microphone or copy samples via iTunes.

Share

With nanoloop for iPhone, you can send your saved projects to other nanoloop users and your own PC via e-mail. If nanoloop is installed on the recipient’s iPhone / iPod, she/he can simply tap on the file name in the received e-mail to start nanoloop and import the attached file so that it is available for editing. This makes collaboration very easy, multiple users around the world can work on the same project by simply e-mailing the file.

Export

Songs can be exported to a WAV file that is accessible via iTunes (simply drag & drop files in finder). The exported file is also copied to the clipboard so that it can be pasted in other apps that support pasting audio. If a file sharing app like Dropbox is installed, you can upload the file there.

Gameboy NanoLoop For iPhone and iPod Touch

Nanoloop for iPhone combines sequencer, synthesizer and sampler in one package. It provides all functions for creating electronic music from scratch. This is the same Nanoloop that was developed for Nintendo Game Boy except it has more features.

What’s New in Version 3.18

– Send and receive .nan as email attachments

The “send” function now sends .nan files as actual attachments. Files can be handled like any other attachment, they can be saved on a PC and also be opened in the Android version and vice versa. This feature is only available on iOS 3.2 or higher. On older versions, you can still send files URL-encoded.

– Open .nan files anywhere

Nanoloop is added to the “open in” dialog. When you open a .nan file in Safari, Mail, Dropbox or any other app that can present an “open in” dialog, nanoloop starts and imports the file.

– Share .nan files with Dropbox and others

If file sharing apps like Dropbox are installed, there is a “share” function that allows to open .nan files in compatible apps.

– Share WAV Exports

If compatible apps are installed, an “open in” menu will appear after WAV export, allowing to open the exported file in any app that can open WAV files.

– Bugfix

Notes with very low volume are not muted anymore.

Features:

– Straight, minimalistic graphical interface
– Pattern-based stepsequencer
– 6 channels, each can be synth or sampler
– Song editor with loop function
– Synth with envelope, filter, lfo etc
– Sample on the fly
– Re-sampling
– Save function
– Sample-import via e-mail
– Copy & paste of samples
– File management via iTunes
– WAV-export
– Export to clipboard
– Send and receive projects via e-mail

Six example projects are included.

Sequencer

Built from ground up and specifically optimised for touchscreens, nanoloop’s stepsequencer is very fast and simple to use.

Synth

The simple but powerful synthesizer allows to create a great bandwidth of sounds, including beats, noises, basses and pads. Available synthesis types are:

– rectangular wave with filter
– FM
– LFSR noise generator

Each synth channel is three-voice polyphonic.

Sampler

Short samples can not just be used in a drum-machine style, but also be pitched and played as notes.
Samples can be recorded via microphone and from nanoloop’s own sound output.

Sample-Import

When iOS3.2 or higher is running on the device, you can up- and download samples (and also project files) in iTunes.
Alternatively, samples can be imported via e-mail. An online conversion tool is available at www.nanoloop.com.

Sample Copy & Paste

You can copy & paste samples to / from apps that support copy & paste of audio.

  • iPad Loops is an iOS music production blog dedicated to exposing the best iPad apps musicians, producers, and Djs. This is not a database of every app. It is, however, one of useful recommendations from someone with many years in music production. I try to update it on a daily basis (ok sometimes every two days) and I do my best to post useful apps only. My name is Jason Donnelly (Dj Puzzle). You might know me from my royalty free loop packs and sound design. Some of the apps that contain my sounds are Synth One, EG Segments, Hammerhead, Retronyms AudioCopy, Audio Evolution Mobile, LP-5, iPRO.DJSAMPLER, Looptastic. My work is published by Roland, Antares, Magix, Soundtrack Loops, Sample Logic, Acoustica, Loopmasters and many more. Subscribe to our RSS feed below to get updated when new apps are posted.
