Euro rack users rejoice!! With Audulus, you can build synthesizers, design new sounds, or process audio. All with low latency real-time processing suitable for live performance. Audulus’s user interface is clean, simple, and easy to learn, allowing you to focus on sound – now made easier than ever with nearly 100 built-in Eurorack-style modules.
What’s New in Version 3.4
– Support for multi-channel audio I/O with new ADC and DAC nodes. Use Audulus with a DC-coupled audio interface (such as the Expert Sleepers ES-8) for connecting your Eurorack modular!
KRFT is a modular instrument for expressive music production that we built to challenge the two decade old paradigm of the multi-track DAW.
Designed from the ground up with a focus on live experimentation and expressive interactions, KRFT will inspire you to make music that would normally be out of reach.
Rather than being confined to a fixed interface KRFT lets you create a surface that suits your musical needs whether you’re building an experimental groove box or composing an entire track.
What’s New in Version 1.5.0
KRFT + MIDI = The ultimate controller & sequencer!
– Use KRFT to control other apps, software (e.g. Ableton & Logic Pro) & hardware
– Control external dials with MIDI CC messages from KRFT
– Record your performances in external DAWs then tweak & edit
– Audio Bus 3 MIDI support
EXTRA
– Now you can add Modulators to Morphs, great for providing more variety to your sounds

Really excited to announce some new features for Pattering. The most exciting feature for me is the new Kit Cloud drum kit sharing feature.
What’s New in Version 1.3
Introducing Cloud Kits, Drum Kit Sharing for Patterning.
Download & share user-created samples with Cloud Kits. Browse a growing collection of free drum kits, searchable by artist, genre, and popularity. Listen to audio previews, upvote, and download kits directly in the app. Upload custom drum kits with your own artwork and share in Patterning and on Facebook or other social networks.
• Built-in Dropbox Support! You can now browse Dropbox in the app, allowing importing of multiple audio files without leaving Patterning. Available from the “IMPORT” menu of the Sample Library.
• When deleting a drum kit you can opt to delete samples at the same time.
• Exported audio and Ableton Live Sets now correctly bounce loops with auto-rotate enabled and alternate playback modes.
• Fixed logic for auto-rotation in alternate playback modes. You can revert to the old logic via the iOS Settings application.
• Fix issue which cause Audiobus Trigger buttons to not appear right away.
• Latest Audiobus SDK
As beautiful as it is powerful, Patterning is a deep and flexible drum machine unlike any you’ve encountered before. With its elegant circular interface, Patterning transforms the iPad into a seriously inspiring tool for making beats.
Create dynamic drum patterns with the swipe of a finger. Make evolving, poly-metric rhythms, four-on-the-floor dance party jams, or laid back R&B grooves. Use Patterning’s independent loop settings to explore untapped rhythmic possibilities. Automate parameters to create intricate & complex beats. Arrange patterns on the timeline to construct songs. Use the built-in effects–delay, reverb, distortion, and 3-band EQ–to add atmosphere, shimmer and noise. Connect to other apps with Audiobus, Inter-App Audio, and MIDI. Export your beats to perfect audio loops or directly to an Ableton Live Set.
Patterning comes loaded with classic drum machine samples as well as exclusive drum kits created and curated by contemporary producers and musicians. For the independent producer, it’s easy to create custom kits with your own samples.
Supports Ableton Link, MIDI Clock Sync, and Inter-App Audio Sync.
With an extensive and uncommon feature set, Patterning redefines what an iOS drum machine can be.
Bram Bos tease use with another video for their newly designed modular synthesizer “Ripplemaker”. Bram Bos brought us Ruismaker analog drums, Ruismaker FM drums, Phasemaker, and Troublemaker synth for iOS. They are now working diligently on a new synthesizer with modular patching capabilities and a built in sequencer. The original Ruismaker started its existence as a hardware drum machine, but is now available as an Audio Unit Instrument for mobile DAWs and sequencers. And the family is growing steadily.
Bram Bos’ Ruismaker plugins are about authenticity: everything you hear is synthesized in real-time by emulating classic electronic circuitry – giving your music that little bit more soul, and offering lots of useful control over the sound of your music without complicating your workflow.
The following videos demonstrate their new synth Ripplemaker. Release date TBA
Ripplemaker is a modular “West-Coast synthesis” playground, inspired by synths such as the 0-Coast, Phenol and the Kastle. Following the experimental synthesis philosophy of people like Buchla and Serge, west-coast synthesis offers a very different approach from the traditional subtractive methods of Moog synths. It’s much more about experimenting with additive timbres (hence the absence of a conventional filter) and the manipulation of CV signals. This video shows a typical generative patch concept called “Krell” (inspired by the soundtrack of the movie “Forbidden Planet” ‘composed’ by Louis Barron). It’s self-generating, so no sequencers or triggers are used here. But obviously Ripplemaker will be fully AUv3 compatible so you can do slightly more conventional/musical patches with it 😉
iPad Loops is an iOS music production blog dedicated to exposing the best iPad apps musicians, producers, and Djs. This is not a database of every app. It is, however, one of useful recommendations from someone with many years in music production. I try to update it on a daily basis (ok sometimes every two days) and I do my best to post useful apps only. My name is Jason Donnelly (Dj Puzzle).
Some of the apps that contain my sounds are Synth One, EG Segments, Hammerhead, Retronyms AudioCopy, Audio Evolution Mobile, and iMPC Pro. My work is published by Roland, Antares, Magix, Soundtrack Loops, Sample Logic, Acoustica, Native Instruments, The Grammt Museum and many more.
