Yonac Roxsyn Guitar Synth

Introducing a revolutionary new way to turn your guitar or bass into a fully featured polyphonic synth: Roxsyn, the world’s first metamorphic guitar synthesizer. Expressive, fast and responsive to every nuance, it is a league apart from all other guitar synths to date.

Unhappy with cold and temperamental guitar-to-MIDI synths that dominate the market, we developed a completely new approach to guitar synthesis. Our all-original technology synthesizes your guitar directly, without the use of MIDI notes. Rescued from being a poor keyboard substitute, your guitar suddenly becomes an integral part of the synth. It’s alive!

There is no pitch tracking involved. There are no pitch estimation errors, octave glitches, or garbled chords. There is no over-complicated G2M between your guitar and synth to destroy everything human about your playing. Instead, Roxsyn’s metamorphic sound generation technology retains all the personality of your sound: vibrato, slides, bends, dynamics, even extended technique. The result is a polyphonic synthesizer that is as fast and accurate as it is richly expressive.

No need for special MIDI pickups or hardware, either: just plug into your favorite Lightning/USB audio interface, and start synthing!

::Powerful Synth Engine::

Roxsyn’s big synth heart is its three metamorphic signal generators (AKA oscillators). Each generator offers 5 unique waveforms, and has a 4+ octave range to cover a wide spectrum of frequencies. They also feature stereo panning, and can route into either of Roxsyn’s dual filter banks. You can even dial in your guitar directly into the synth engine for even bigger sounds.

::Dual Filter Banks::

Each containing four custom virtual-analog filter types and dedicated envelopes, the filter banks help sculpt the synth generators in countless new ways. The envelopes are specially designed for the guitar, and are driven by a fully adjustable automatic trigger generator controlled by your playing dynamics. Envelopes offer original features like finite-duration sustain stages, as well as the ability to receive or ignore trigger-off messages. They can also be triggered externally via MIDI controllers like an expression pedal.

An additonal envelope controls the amplitude of the signal, giving you even more options in creating synth sounds.

::Arpeggiator::

Instantly transform sustained guitar notes into fast (or slow), complex patterns with Roxsyn’s powerful yet easy to use arp. There are 8 stepping algorithms to choose from, as well as settable note value, swing, and note repeats. You can even route the arp to any combination of the 3 voice generators — enabling you to layer a non-arpeggiated sound with an arp pattern. What’s more, the arp can send trigger signals into any of Roxsyn’s 4 envelopes, and even reset the LFOs. So it’s also a handy rhythmic / trance tool as well!

::Modulation & FX::

Roxsyn’s user friendly modulation matrix lets you manipulate parameters (pitch, amplitude, filters, etc) using its two LFOs and mod envelope. Add subtle vibrato, even glide simulation, or go full-on berserk. LFOs each have 9 waveforms, and feature beat syncing. Each matrix row can take LFOs or the mod envelope as a modulator or control, and can even use external control sources.

And if you like your synths on the spicy side, Roxsyn comes with top-notch stereo FX specially developed to evoke extra synthiness: Powerful algorithmic reverb with the sound of countless rooms, phasing, modulating, 2-channel delay, and graphic EQ.

::Pro Features::

500+ factory presets with bass, lead, pad, arp sounds & more. Easily create & share your own presets. Audio Unit v3, IAA, Audiobus, Ableton Link. 64-bit processing at up to 96kHz. 160+ MIDI controllable parameters; MIDI learn & map save/share. Tapedeck (in the app), so you can record, loop & share your ideas on the go. Just some of Roxsyn’s professional features that make life and music a little bit easier.

Jam Synth iPad Guitar Synthesizer

Jam Synth is a fully featured monophonic guitar synthesizer for iOS. It tracks the pitch and amplitude of an incoming guitar signal and uses this information to control digital oscillators, adding a unique guitar infused edge to your synth leads. Unlike typical pitch to MIDI converters, Jam Synth forgoes MIDI altogether when producing sounds internally because it is impossible to shoehorn the expressive pitch and dynamics of a stringed instrument into the MIDI standard. Jam Synth can accurately track string bends and vibrato to produce much more organic synth sounds than other guitar to MIDI converters, including its own MIDI output.

Features:
– 3 Phase Distortion Oscillators (4 on iPad) with 8 different wave shapes: Saw, Square, Pulse, Double Sine, Saw-Pulse, Resonant 1, Resonant 2, and Resonant 3

– Filter can be set to track picking dynamics

– Input section with Gate, Compressor, ADSR, and Input Filter

– FX section
— A fully featured LFO with 5 wave shapes and an invert switch for a wide range of pulsating effects
— Stereo Delay with a stereo width control for ping pong effects and a filter for emulating analog delay
— 3d Chorus, a classic “motionless” chorus that adds a stereo DIMENSION to the synth

– LFO and Stereo Delay can be synced to tap tempo or incoming MIDI clock sync

– Highly accurate pitch tracking and tuner, accurate to 0.1Hz

– MIDI OUT and guitar to MIDI conversion for controlling other midi synths with your guitar through Core Midi accessories and Virtual MIDI

– string bends and vibrato are converted to MIDI pitch wheel data

– picking dynamics are converted to MIDI volume expression data

– compatible with guitar and audio interfaces made for iPhone and iPad

– detailed user manual

– Audiobus

– Fat Bass

– Super chip leads

Jam Synth is designed to be easy to use even for users who don’t have a lot of experience programming or playing synthesizers. When in doubt, just press buttons and turn knobs while plucking a string until you find a sound you like!

iPhone 4s+, iPod Touch 5, iPad 2+ required for best performance.

Jam Synth is available for $0.99

Sonuus G2M Pitch To Midi For Guitar

The Sonuus G2M – Universal Guitar-to-MIDI Converter app delivers high-performance, low-latency, MIDI conversion for guitar (and other musical instruments). Featuring the same pitch-to-MIDI technology used in Sonuus’ acclaimed hardware products, the G2M app gives you an easy, low-cost way to enter the world of MIDI guitar. Good for iPhone and iPad.

In 2009, Sonuus rocked the music world with the launch of the G2M: a low-cost hardware MIDI converter that redefined how guitarists access MIDI instruments. Previously, the only solution was to add special pickups to your guitar, or use a specially-built guitar for MIDI. The G2M made it possible, for the first time, to use any guitar with MIDI, hence it’s: “universal”.

This G2M app gives you access to the same technology of the Sonuus hardware G2M:

() Any electric guitar can be used as a solo MIDI guitar: i.e., it’s universal.
() No guitar modifications or special pickups required.
() Robust note detection — minimises wrong notes.
() Velocity detection of notes, so your playing dynamics are translated into MIDI messages.
() Fast, accurate pitch-bend determination, or alternative chromatic mode.
() Very low latency & very fast tracking.
() Built-in, precise tuner.

These features combine to do something that no other MIDI converters can do: accurately capture the musicality and phrasing of what you are playing. Whether you want to lay down a MIDI bass line, or a saxophone solo, the G2M ensures the musical nuances of what you play are retained.

In addition, the G2M app:

() Has very low CPU usage, so it can run in the background without affecting other music apps.
() Can send MIDI to other apps (synths), over Wi-Fi, or to MIDI interfaces connected to the dock connector.
() Displays a glorious user-interface showing you the real-time MIDI messages as they are sent.
() Supports bass and guitar with a note detection range spanning from E1 (low E on a 4-string bass) to Bb6 (higher than a 24 fret guitar can play).

To use the G2M, you can use the built-in microphone but you get much better results by using an adapter that lets you connect your guitar directly to your iPhone, iPod or iPod Touch. For example, the i-ROCK adapter lets you connect your guitar to the mic/headset input.

The G2M works with all iOS devices with OS4.2 and above: from the iPod Touch 2nd Gen to the latest iPhone.

——–

Note1: the G2M is monophonic, meaning it will only process single notes, not chords.

Note2: when a guitar is connected to the microphone input, the lowest guitar notes (below A2) may not be processed correctly because most devices have a high-pass filter on this input which rejects the low notes. To avoid this and access the full range of playable notes, you can use an audio input device that connects to the dock connector instead.

G2M is available for only $9.99

Midi Guitar App For iPad

Turn ANY guitar into a polyphonic guitar-synthesizer or record tablature by playing it.

✮✮✮✮✮ Introductory discount: 75% off WIFI-MIDI upgrade

MIDI Guitar is the world’s first app to transcribe guitar playing into MIDI. The transcription runs in real-time, with latency and accuracy comparable to inconvenient hardware MIDI guitar solutions.

MIDI guitar is 5 years under development and based upon new patent-pending polyphonic pitch detection and –prediction technology that can accurately recognize polyphonic signals, such as complex chords or finger-playing with very low latency and without spurious hits.

MIDI Guitar uses WIFI-MIDI to communicate with digital audio workstations in a frictionless setup or Cable-based MIDI (recommended) for lowest possible latency. It also drives other iOS synth apps using Apple’s virtual MIDI standard.

In order to use MIDI Guitar you need a iPhone 4 or newer, iPod 4th generation, or any iPad. You also need a guitar interface for best results. We recommend the iRig and are currently testing other interfaces. Using an acoustic guitar with the built in microphone might work for some purposes but is not optimal.

The app is FREELY available for evaluation with built in piano sounds. MIDI output (WIFI-MIDI, Virtual-MIDI and Cable-MIDI) is offered as an in-app purchase.

Note that WIFI-MIDI is only supported on the Windows platform via 3rd party apps, and might cause latency issues for some.
