Author View comments Tags Tags: , , , , ,

Audio Damage FuzzPlus 3, a direct 1:1 port of the popular free desktop plugin, is an AUv3 or standalone audio effect that consists of a resonant lowpass filter (modelled on the MS20 LPF) and a distortion engine (modelled on the Distortion+ pedal) with a feedback loop.

Easy-to-use, this audio toolbox can do everything from simple filtering and “warmth” to full metal audio destruction.

Audio Damage Replicant 2 Glitch Effects
Author View comments Tags Tags: , , , , , , ,

One of the original buffer effects, and still one of the best, Replicant is essentially a randomized looper/buffer reverse, with a randomized stutter effect inside the loop. From a simple delay or panning effect, on up to massive random “instant Autechre” beat mangling, Replicant is a capable plugin well in line with today’s electronic music styles. Stuttering buffers and filter drops are easy to program, and the comprehensive randomization features give it a mind of its own, if so desired. If you’re looking to add some chance to your production, you’ve come to the right place!

IMPORTANT!!!! PLEASE READ!!!

Replicant 2 is a tempo-based effect, and requires a host that provides transport information. A standalone application is supplied, but it requires an Inter-App Audio connection to a host with a transport to work. We strongly advise using the (identical) AUv3 instead. Ableton Link will be added in the near future for true standalone operation.

Also note that AudioBus 3 does _not_ provide transport information. Hence, Replicant will not work correctly in AudioBus 3. We recommend BeatMaker 3, AUM, Cubasis, ModStep, GarageBand, and similar AUv3 hosts that have a transport.

And finally, we have made an iPhone version available for cross-compatibility, but note that the controls are very small. It can be difficult to use in this context, and we do not recommend it.

Replicant 2 is an aggressive buffer-rearranger. It is primarily meant for percussive straight-time material such as drum loops. If the track has a lot of swing, we suggest using loop sizes no smaller than 1/8, as shorter times will nip off the front of the off-beat slices. Furthermore, on legato material Replicant 2 will inevitably choose slice times that contain non-zero-crossing samples. Hence, you will hear clicking on duller material with long decays. This is expected and known. It is a glitch effect. 🙂

Replicant 2 for iOS is otherwise identical to our Replicant 2 desktop plugin. Visit the Audio Damage website for audio samples, a video overview, and a full manual.

FEATURES:

» Tempo-based delay and looping effects, from 1/128th note to an entire measure.

» Stutter adds further subdivisions, down to a 1/16384th note (otherwise known as a “tone”.)

» Seven independant randomization controls, for subtle changes or extreme aleatoric madness, including a global randomize button.

» Our unique “Hold” feature, to store a random sequence you like.

» Resonant low-pass and high-pass filters that change over time.

» Pan position that changes over time.

» Two separate direction modes, for entire events or individual repeats, with randomization.

» Front panel triggering of loop events for live playing of effects.

Audio Damage Dubstation 2 For iOS
Author View comments Tags Tags: , , , , , ,

The original dub delay effect, Dubstation has been a go-to effect in the production toolbox for over a decade and a half with good reason. Now available on iOS, this 1:1 code-identical port of the desktop version of Dubstation brings this classic effect to the mobile production studio.

Easy to use and understand, Dubstation works just like a hardware delay pedal. True stereo operation and a nice saturated feedback path provide an instant-classic delay effect that has been used in thousands of commercial tracks.

Features

>> Tempo-synchronized or millisecond timing.

>> True stereo dual time mode, single time mode, or ping-pong.

>> EQ and saturation control on the feedback path, for tonal control.

>> LFO to delay time, for chorus and tape effects.

>> Tempo-synced stereo looping (“infinite mode”) with sound-on-sound and reverse.

>> Heavily optimized for extremely low CPU usage. Use as many as you want, even on an older device.

>> Factory and user presets that can be copied to and from the desktop version.

>> Audio samples and manual available at the Audio Damage website.

Audio Damage Eos 2 For iOS
Author View comments Tags Tags: , , , , , , ,

A long-time studio standard, now finally available for iOS! This is a direct 1:1 port of Audio Damage’s Eos 2 desktop plug-in, identical in every way to the Eos you know and love. This download includes an AUv3 App Extension for use in AUv3-savvy hosts like AUM, AudioBus, GarageBand, Cubasis, and Auria Pro. Also included is a stand-alone application with Inter-App Audio.

Eos 2 consists of four high-quality custom-designed reverb algorithms, made with the modern production environment in mind. Three different plate simulators and our own Superhall algorithm give you a broad palette of reverb, and the easy-to-understand interface makes adjusting the algorithms to suit your track incredibly simple.

Want a traditional dark plate reverb? Eos 2 can do that. How about a short, dense room sound for your drum buss? Not a problem. But where Eos 2 really comes in to its own is when you drop Superhall on your piano or synthesizer tracks. The incredibly long modulated hall sounds of Eno-style ambience are where Eos 2 thrives, something that is not possible with convolution ‘verbs.

Features

> Four reverb algorithms designed for Audio Damage by ValhallaDSP, including three separate plate algorithms and our own unique SuperHall, a rich, densely modulated, extra-long hall algorithm designed for ambient and synthesizer music.

> Full control over the reverb early reflections and tail, with modulation and equalization control, to sculpt the density and tonal characteristics to your needs.

> All presets from the desktop version included, and you can even share presets among all versions of Eos 2 using the copy/paste mechanism.

> AUv3 and IAA standard.

> Note that Eos 2 is a dense, heavily modulated algorithmic reverb, and as such may be somewhat heavy on the CPU, especially on older devices. For best results, use a single instance as a send.

Grind Distortion Effect For iOS
Author View comments Tags Tags: , , , , ,

A true powerhouse of audio warfare, Grind puts the “damage” in Audio Damage. From subtle tube-style saturation to full-on mangled wavetable distortion, Grind is a Swiss Army Knife of sound design. This effect consists of three main blocks: wavetable lookup, in to algorithmic saturation/distortion/, and finally to a multi-mode filter with eleven different topologies, from your favorite four-pole lowpass ladder filter, to the 18dB screaming acid, to more subtle toolbox filters like notch. Driving it all is a tempo-synced LFO for rhythmic filtering and grinding.

Grind is code-identical to our VST/AU/AAX version, and can even load its presets. Take your favorite destruction plug on the road with you in this AudioUnits v3 version. Also includes a stand-alone app.

FEATURES

> Input gain and gate

> Wavetable lookup distortion module with LFO modulation over 15 wavetables, and control over window size and phase. This replaces the input sample with one chosen from the selected wavetable based on input level.

> Algorithmic distortion module. Apply one of eleven different distortion/saturation algorithms to the signal, for everything from subtle tube-style harmonic saturation to full sine driver craziness.

> Multi-mode filter with eleven different topologies, from popular vintage synth filters to studio carving tools. The filter frequency is an LFO modulation target, making this worth the price of admission for the filter alone.

> Tempo-synced LFO. In an AUv3 host, Grind’s LFO automatically syncs to your host, and can provide rhythmic interest to virtually any track. Mod the filter, for timbral interest, or mod the wavetable, for the full Grind destructo-effect!

> A mix control rounds out this easy-to-use, yet deceptively intense effect. Add a little or add it all, Grind is a multi-effect that will bring any sound to life.
